In a candid revelation to Entertainment Tonight, Aquaman star Jason Momoa disclosed that he is currently embracing a nomadic lifestyle, having no fixed residence following his divorce from Lisa Bonet.
The Hollywood actor, known for his adventurous spirit, shared that instead of a traditional home, he’s traversing small towns, surprising fans wherever he goes.
Momoa and Bonet officially announced their separation in 2022, with Bonet filing for divorce just this month. In a joint Instagram statement, they expressed their decision to part ways with a focus on maintaining dignity and honesty in their personal lives.
Remarkably, the divorce proceedings were swiftly concluded within a day of being filed, as reported by Today. Momoa, now 44, candidly remarked to Entertainment Tonight, “Bro, I don’t even have a home right now.”
This revelation sheds light on Momoa’s unconventional post-divorce journey, as the actor navigates life without the confines of a fixed residence.
Sharing insights into his unconventional way of life, Jason Momoa revealed, “I live on the road. So, I’m down to New Zealand to start Minecraft. I hope everyone loves it.” The Aquaman star humorously acknowledged, “I’m always in these weird places. You’re gonna find me on the road. It happens all the time. They’re like, ‘What the hell are you doing in our hometown?'”
Momoa’s latest venture takes the form of an HBO documentary titled “On the Roam.” The documentary captures his journey across the country, exploring the work of various artisans who create art using century-old bikes, instruments, choppers, and an array of unusual items. The unique collectibles resulting from their craftsmanship are then auctioned off at the documentary’s conclusion, offering viewers a glimpse into Momoa’s intriguing and artistic travels.
Expressing his delight in the nomadic lifestyle, the Game of Thrones actor shared, “I love the idea of just being with everyday people and doing my craft, which is filming, and then showing them. Through doing that for so long, I got to be curious about it.” The actor, set to premiere his new series on HBO Max on January 18, revealed his passion for exploring crafts during the show.
For him, it’s a dedication to handcrafted artisans, driven by a desire to honor those who inspire him. He explained, “The things that I truly love, wanting to honor the people who inspire me, and then wanting to make stuff that’s really cool for charity, so that they can, you know, bring all this kind of attention to these artisans.”
In a bid to share the love, he plans to jump on Instagram after people watch the show, kickstarting auctions for the unique items created during his artistic exploration. It’s a heartfelt endeavor to spread positivity and attention to the skilled artisans featured in the series.
