In a shocking incident, an airport security official has been suspended after being caught in the act of misconduct. The official was found to have stolen $300 from a passenger and resorted to an unusual method of concealing the stolen cash.
At approximately 8:20 PM on September 8, 2023, a traveler by the name of Mr. Cai underwent the airport security screening process at Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport, located in the Philippines. An employee from the Office of Transportation Security (OTS) inspected Mr. Cai’s shoulder bag. However, upon receiving his bag back, Mr. Cai made the distressing discovery that his wallet was opene, and an alleged sum of $300 (£240) had disappeared.
Mr. Cai’s growing suspicion over the unusual circumstances surrounding his missing money prompted him to confront the security officer who had inspected his bag. As their conversation unfolded, Mr. Cai observed a peculiar and suspicious behavior in the security officer. The officer clenched their left fist tightly and discreetly placed an object into their waistband. This raised further concerns for Mr. Cai, deepening the mystery surrounding the disappearance of his money and adding to the intrigue of the situation.
The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) reported that when the security official was inspecting Mr. Chai’s bag, she exhibited a suspicious behaviour by turning away from the bag while seemingly concealing something in her left hand, which was firmly clenched.
