Often when users try to update their wordpress using the automatic wordpress update script and in the case sometimes wordpress just gets stuck on the maintenance mode, whatsoever the user may try to open in his site, there is always an error at both the frontend as well as backend: “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.” which is indeed very much frustrating.
Thus, if you are also facing the same then the solution is very much easy indeed and just takes seconds to be done.
Resolving: WordPress maintenance mode issue:
Here is indeed a very simple solution, the maintenance mode is set to your website hosted through wordpress because of a file name as .maintenance, in case your wordpress always shows you to be in maintenance mode despite having performed the required update, then you need to manually delete the file to take your site out of the maintenance mode.
Access your website through the FTP and then go to the root directory, where your wordpress has been installed.
Look for the .maintenance file and then right click that and delete that, you can do the same with your file manager of hosting account also but in this case you may need to view the files with hidden mode toggled on in the file manager. After deleting the file the issue will be resolved and your wordpress will work like normal.
